Updated: September 20261. What to include in a copyright notice
Identify the copyrighted work, identify the exact SITESXXX URL you want reviewed, identify the allegedly infringing material, provide sufficient contact information, state that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized, state that the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the rights holder, and include a physical or electronic signature.
2. Exact URLs matter
Because the catalog can contain links from many independent sources, include the complete page URL and, where known, the originating partner URL. Screenshots, titles or search terms alone may not uniquely identify the material.
3. What happens after a valid notice
We may disable or de-index the affected catalog entry while reviewing the request and may forward relevant notice information to the source or uploader where appropriate. Removing an index entry from SITESXXX does not necessarily remove the material from the third-party host.
4. Counter-notices
If material was removed because of a copyright notice and you believe that removal resulted from mistake or misidentification, a counter-notice should identify the removed material, explain the basis for the objection, provide reliable contact information, contain the statements required by applicable law and include a signature.
